| 00:58:10 Mar 12th 08 - Mr. Plato: [Story I came up with, no happy ending. 4 chapters.] Prologue - Winter Night
Jacob was eating his dinner with his family, the night before Christmas. Oh joy! His favorite time of the year. He wondered if his parents would get him a bow and arrow. He couldn't wait. He helped cook the Christmas duck they always made. Afterward, he went up to his rom and rolled right onto his haybed, staring at the mossy wooden walls. He stared right at the picture of last year's Christmas. He smiled and went to sleep. If only he knew what will happen that night... Jocab heard horses runing, creeping into his ears like goop seeping through a cloth. He at first thought they were reindeer, but he heard the man say "Stop!' clearly. He looked out the window, and saw a man come in, from the evil clan of barbarians, thr Tarims!!! The world seemed to explode. There was a roar, and the door was smashed down, the man walked in. Jacob couldn't see what was happening, but he though he heard his father talking. There was a scream from his mother, and then his father sounded like he was fighting the man. Then a deep scream, then there was silence. Jacob heard gold jingling, then looked out the window. He saw the man, right in the eyes, his gray, empty, hating eyes. The man kicked his horse, and the man was off troting away, away... Jacob woke up with a start. He looked around and said to himself, "Probably had too much sugar before bed. That's what gave me that dream. It seemed so real though." he got up, and went into the main room. No one was there, only the ashes blowing way from the fireplace. He turned around and went to his parent's room. He looked inside and saw the bed empty. He went back to the main and searched the floor. He looked around. Then, in a small corner, he saw a dagger, covered in red. he picked it up, and it was as cold as ice. He dropped and looked outside, hoping that his parents were just playing a joke on him, a funny prank. But he bent down and sobbed, for all he saw was the frost on the window... | ||||

Jacob woke up with a stir while he layed on the cool, spring grass. He got up and saw a rabbit pass through the fields. He used only 1 arrow and was able to kill it. He skinned it with his knife, and put it on the steel pot on the fire.&nb*beep*azingly, he was also only 17 when he did this. He looked at the pond and saw his reflection, his pale, white face and crystal blue eyes. He was able to get the rabbit out just in time to get it from burning. He ate half and stuffed the rest in his sack. He packed up and went on walking through the field. The thought of his nightmare crept into his thoughts, the winter night. He walked on, away from the pond, toward the Great City of Pamilter, away from the pond, away from the city he grew up in, away... He got to the road and gate in 4 days time, not wasting a second. He payed for the toll and walked into the city. He gazed at the buildings, almost streaching into infinity, being about 20, 25 stories high each. He walked into the nearest tavern, the Dragon Tooth Inn and Tavern, talked to the man at the counter. "Hello," Jacob said. "I'd like to book a room for the week." "Hmm, we seem to only have 1 room on the 3 floor, 24 gold per day." the man said. Jacob sticks his hand in his pocket, pulling some bones, dirt, rotten meat, and other junk onto the mans desk till a weeks worth of gold was on the counter. "There you go." Jacob took the key and started up the stairs... Jacob had troubled sleep that night, not of the winter nightmare, but almost a vision. He saw the cruel man, talking to another person, same armor, talking to him. Jacob fely anger and fear toward them both. "What boy? You mean the one's whose parents you killed? If he's here, if he know, if he tracked you dow..." "No, I checked, he just was heading to this town." "Well, we had better do better with our disguises. If he finds us, this could ruin the plan and get our heads cho..." "SILENCE! Even if the boy followed me, he has no chance against us." "Well, then here's the plan for tommorow. I want you to follow Yapor to try to find ou..." Then, Jacob felt a jolt, and woke up. A landle was lit, and in the corner of the room, was a man with a black suit, apparently reading a book. "Hello, I've been wondering when you'd wake up. We have much to do." And of course, just when something happens, I stop the chapter. :-( | ||||
